Leaving the dark side.

So, I've been having a revelation lately.

Coming from the sweet south of Texas, I sure as hell don't dress the part. Strutting Sperry top siders was never my thing... neither were the ever so popular cowboy boot. Ever since the middle of my high school career, I've been taking muse from Mr. Wang himself. His leathery, street savvy style brought out my inner-rebel. Black bandage skirt, sky-scraping tall dominatrix pumps, ad studded everythings defined my soul. Diamond in the rough, one might say about my mysterious manner.

While I've always been a simplistic  black "kind of girl" when it comes to my outfit choices, I needed my femininity back. Let's just say... I got sick of every other college girl strutting the typically bland black high wasted skirts with tucked in tanks.

After a sweltering day of classes (I definitely lost my touch with the Texas heat), I checked my mail and LO AND BEHOLD was a J. Crew catalog with the goddess herself, Erin Wasson on the cover. Flipping though the pages were sparkling, crisp shorts, lightweight pastel cardigans, and studded belts to roughen up their feminine vibe.

So now if you see me walking around campus, you'll be seeing my new experiement strutting the streets of Bloomington. That tall chick donning distressed light blue jeans shorts, light grey tank, and dreamsicle orange cardigan with some gold Torry Burch flats.... is me :)

Experiment on, my fashion fiends.
